THIS is shocking. CRIME WAVE in the Philippines is revolting. The ambush victim PERCY LAPID was a HARD-HITTING CRITIC of the Duterte, Marcos, Arroyo, Estrada, and Villar political dynasties and their tentacles in the national government, the LGUs, the military, the police, and the business sector. Lapid is also a critic of the illegal and aggressive behavior of Communist China in the West Philippine Sea
/Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone.

I first met Lapid in 1986-1987 when he was still starting his career as a young radio commentator, following the footsteps of his father who was a veteran radio commentator. (I was then a young lawyer and the legal spokesman of the biggest national federation of coconut producers whose shares of stocks in the United Coconut Planters Bank, San Miguel Corporation and other coconut levy-funded corporations were sequestered by the post-1986 Edsa revolutionary government).

Lapid bravely DEFENDED VP LENI ROBREDO from the malicious attacks of social media trolls and fanatics linked to the propaganda camps of Duterte, Narcos Jr., Isko Moreno, Robin Padilla, Arroyo, Estrada, Villar, the Manchurian Candidates of Communist China, Quiboloy, et. al.

The assassination of Lapid will instill a CHILLING EFFECT, resulting in SELF-CENSORSHIP, in the minds of independent media practitioners and commentators. TO SILENCE DISSENT and TO INSTILL FEAR are the objectives of tyrants, despots, autocrats, political dynasties, cronies and oligarchs, fascist military and police generals, crime lords, and the aristocratic elite.

Lapid was killed by riding-in-tandem assassins in LAS PINAS CITY (BF Resort Village, to be exact). I have lived in the city since 1978 as a young homeowner and executive. It used to be known as the "BEDROOM OF METRO MANILA" because it was a peaceful suburban area made up of decent and affordable residential subdivisions where hardworking middle-income Filipinos could rest and enjoy life with their young families. But at the rate crime and vice are escalating in the city (which is the territory of the VILLAR-AGUILAR POLITICAL DYNASTY), it is now gradually being known as the "BEDROOM OF CRIME LORDS".
