We will not be surprised if, one of these days, the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), the National Democratic Front (NDF), the New People’s Army (NPA), and CPP founder Jose Ma. Sison (Europe) would soon issue to its armed field forces and propaganda operators covert notices of campaign support in favor of presidential candidate Duterte and his party.
His sympathy to the Communist Left in Davao City has been an open secret for many years now.
It was a part of his trapo-type political tactic to prolong his political dynasty in his little kingdom in that city.
If Duterte is a true freedom-loving Filipino and a genuine law-abiding lawyer, he should expressly state his real position with respect to the CPP, NDF, and NPA and their gave human rights violations, murders, arsons, robberies, extortions, kidnappings, coercions, revolutionary taxes, election campaign permits-to-enter/campaign fees, illegal mining, alleged connections to drug lords and other criminal syndicates, and other heinous crimes.
We do not know (a) if Duterte fully understands the true philosophy of Communism, Socialism, Marxism, Leninism, and Mao Tse Tung Thought and (b) if he and his local government unit wittingly or unwittingly provide the CPP/NDF/NPA socio-economic resources and moral support disguised as social welfare and development services and pro-poor social justice programs of his city.
As of now, massive operations of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Davao area have been resumed and reinvigorated to restore real peace, order, security, and socio-economic stability there, per yesterday’s news.
Thousands of our lowly-paid soldiers and policemen have died in Davao and in many far-flung mountains in Mindanao and in other God-forsaken towns and forests in our country to preserve our precious democracy, republicanism, free market, and liberal education.
The Filipino voters have the legal right to demand from all presidential candidates, especially the pro-Left Duterte, the truth about their real plans and ideas if elected to lead our country.
The Filipino voters have the legal duty (a) to identify the pretenders, Duterte included, who deserved to be vehemently rejected at the polls in May 2016 and (b) to segregate them from the genuine, selfless, sincere and democratic leaders who deserved to be elevated to the noble pedestal of the presidency.
