New mentality in the Court

With the voluntary disclosure by SC Justices Carpio and Sereno of their individual statements of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN), will a new mentality of transparency and full disclosure emerge from the SC or will CJ Corona continue to stick to the old mentality of elitism and secrecy in the Court? One thing good about the pending Corona impeachment case is that public opinion has forced the Court to be humble, to listen to the People, and to be more careful with the way it performs its functions. Unlike members of the Executive and the Legislative, the small group of 15 SC justices are all UNELECTED OFFICIALS whose pens and opinions determine the fate and future of the nation. They must therefore be models of TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY and INTEGRITY.
