President Aquino has appointed 14 new trial court judges for Mindanao.
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P. A. Sereno said the appointment of the new judges will help speed up the resolution of cases in the Mindanao provinces.
Appointed from the nominees of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) were Jerry B. Patcho, municipal circuit trial court (MCTC),Labason-Gutalac-Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte; Kathia C Adasa-Santiago, MCTC, Liloy-Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte; Rowena S. Carpitanos-Magallanes, MCTC, Salug-Godod, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Johnabel H. Tabunda, MCTC , Dimataling-Tabina-Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur; Glenn Perez Quimba, MCTC, Banga-Tantangan, South Cotabato; Jeanecel G. Vercide-Climaco, municipal trial court (MTC), Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay; Nemeson Bal Canete, MTC, Carmen, Agusan Del Norte; Tristram Cosin Tenebro, MTC, San Fernando, Bukidnon.

The transmittal of the appointment papers to the Supreme Court was done last February 4.
