A citizen may not be blamed for suspecting that Duterte would do his best to insure the victory of Bongbong Marcos re his pending election protest vs. Robredo in the Supreme Court.



During his term of office, which ends in 2022 (assuming he is not ousted from power), Duterte shall appoint twelve Supreme Court justices due to the retirement of outgoing justices in that Court.

He shall appoint the next Ombudsman in 2019 or thereabout (when the seven-year term of the current Ombudsman ends).

During his term of office, Duterte shall appoint many Sandiganbayan justices.

Likewise he shall appoint many new trial judges, prosecutors, and deputies in the Office of the Ombudsman.

Knowing Duterte's creeping totalitarianism, a citizen may not be blamed for suspecting that Duterte would soon be in complete control of the three branches of the Government a la Dictator Marcos, with or without Martial Law or a Revolutionary Government.

To many thinking Filipinos, Duterte's intention is obvious: To protect him from future criminal cases when his deadly, violent and corrupt term ends in 2022.
