MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the former legal counsel of businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles to explain before the high court the allegation she made on national television of justices accepting bribes.
Lawyer Lorna Kapunan, in her appearance at the television show 'Umagang Kay Ganda,' said there are justices who accept bribes.
In the interview, Kapunan was asked if she knew justices who could be bribed and she responded yes.
She added that she received information that one can get a temporary restraining order from the Court of Appeals for P5 million.
The high court gave Kapunan 10 days to submit her explanation.
