Marcos ill-gotten wealth.

I do not believe that the proposed abolition of the PCGG and the transfer of its powers and functions to Department of Justice (controlled by Duterte's attack dogs Justice Secretary Aguirre and Sol. Gen. Calida) will improve the efficiency, transparency and non-partisanship of the government efforts to recover the ill-gotten wealth of the Marcos Political Dynasty.

Neither will it cut administrative costs, which is the lie being sold by Duterte's financial team to justify the abolition of the PCGG.

The loyalty and debt of gratitude of Duterte to the Marcos Family will ultimately lead to the political and economic resurrection and salvation of the Marcoses within the next five years --- and the ultimate death of all efforts to trace the rest of their undiscovered multi-billion-dollar ill-gotten wealth secretly stashed in various tax havens abroad.

In fact, I estimate that Duterte's presidential bet in 2022 would be Bongbong Marcos. (Not Pacquiao, Koko Pimentel, Cayetano, Manny Villar or his son Mark [DPWH secretary], or any one of Duterte's oligarch cronies in the Filipino-Chinese business sector).

The irony – or tragedy – is that despite overwhelming evidence against them, not one of the Marcoses and their cronies had spent a day in prison for plundering the nation
